A9 crash between Helmsdale and Portgower leaves one person injured after late-night emergency services call





One person was hurt late last night (Tuesday October 28) in a crash on the A9 south of Helmsdale.

Emergency services attended just after 11pm after the single vehicle accident between Portgower and Helmsdale.

It is understood the road was closed for a period of time.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “Two appliance attended the accident, one from Helmsdale and one from Golspie, to ensure scene safety.

“One person was treated at the scene by the ambulance crew. We left the scene at half past midnight.”
