Managers of Armadale's new build hall are hoping to reflect the community's history on its walls.

An appeal has gone out for photographs that could be copied and then put up as a "celebration of village life and its history".

A Facebook posts states: "We'd love to share some of the faces and characters from Armadale on the walls of our new hall.

"A celebration of village life and our history. From the salmon fishers at the shore to family birthday celebrations in the hall.

"Even Jocky, big Harry's working heavy horse, that many of us will still remember grazing the roadside of the inner common."

Hall managers have promised to "look after any images we receive and return them once they've been scanned".

Anyone with a photo to share is asked to message the hall's Facebook page or ring Joyce Campbell on 07711312198.

The first use of the new Armadale Hall was as a vaccination centre in January.
