North Sutherland Community Forest Trust Board reshuffled at AGM
The leader of a north Sutherland community forestry organisation has stepped down.
Dr Andreas Herfurt resigned as chairman of the North Sutherland Community Forest Trust at is AGM last Tuesday. February 25. He was appointed a director of the trust in June 2021.
Dr Herfurt, who indicated that he was heading for warmer climes, said he did not think it “made much sense” for him to remain as a board member.
Those present at the AGM thanked him for his service.

He was replaced as chairperson by Anna MacConnell with Hugh Black as vice-chairman, Alistair Easthope as treasurer, and Rosemary Macintosh as company secretary.

The trust owns a forestry plantation in Forsinain as well as a sawmill and sheds. It also supports Forestry and Land Scotland with the maintenance and management of Borgie Wood.
The trust was recently granted £54,000 from the Scottish Land Fund to acquire Rosal Clearance Village.
