North mart lamb sale exceeds expectations
DINGWALL and Highland Marts Ltd yesterday sold 6418 store lambs and feeding sheep.
Lambs (6212) averaged £59.97 (up £13.02 on the year) and sold to £115 for a pair of Blue Texels from Smallburn Farms, Duffus.
Feeding sheep (206) sold to £120 gross for a Texel ram from 1 Lochlait, Abriachan.
The mart said: “All classes from start to finish surpassed all sellers’ expectations.”
