Nine new recorded coronavirus cases in NHS Highland area

There have been nine additional confirmed coronavirus cases in the NHS Highland area in the past 24 hours, new figures have shown.

The new cases take the tally for the NHS Highland area since the start of the pandemic to 1277.

Some 1159 people have tested positive across Scotland in the past 24 hours, taking the national total to 81,294.

And there have been no new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian had 52 new recorded cases in the past day, taking its tally to 3937.
