NHS Highland counter fraud services investigate worker
NHS Highland's counter fraud services has launched an investigation into one of its workers, who it is believed was carrying out duties in Inverness under a false name.
It is understood Anthony Murrell, who used the alias Tony Watson, was either suspended or dismissed from a role at Larch House which involved management of computer networks at the end of June.

He was apparently exposed by a whistle-blower.
It is unclear whether he was an employee of the health authority because insiders said he arrived via a recruitment agency and had been working there since mid-2022.
It is thought he had a criminal record for fraud and was jailed in 2020 for the offence.
A spokeswoman for NHS Highland said: "As this is part of an ongoing criminal investigation, the board are unable to make any further comment at this time."
