NHS Highland area records a total of 700 coronavirus cases as 19 more test positive for Covid-19

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the NHS Highland area reached 700 as a further 19 positive tests were recorded in the most recent 24-hour period.
The same number of cases were detected in neighbouring NHS Grampian in the past day, as 764 new cases of the disease were reported across Scotland.
Nationally, it represented 12.1 per cent of newly tested individuals testing positive for Covid-19 after 22,144 tests were carried out.
Four new deaths of people who recently tested positive were also registered in Scotland.
Meanwhile, the cluster in the Western Isles continued with five fresh cases reported, taking the total in that NHS area to 44.
There were no new cases across Orkney or Shetland.
The greatest number of cases was again recorded in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area, where 299 people tested positive for coronavirus.
A total of 191 people were in hospital across the country with Covid-19 yesterday, with 23 of those now in intensive care.
