Sutherland Girls on Boards has been formed by Rebecca Dunphy and Beth Simco.

Rebecca said: "The grant aid will give us all the things we need equipment-wise to get out on the water."

Supported by Lairg and District Learning Centre, Sutherland Girls on Boards intends to provide free paddleboard sessions for young and teenage girls in Sutherland as well as affordable paddleboard sessions for local women.

"We’ll be able to support mental health, body confidence and time out in nature for girls and women across Sutherland," said Rebecca.

A programme including start dates and booking information is set to be made available soon. Events are set to be launched via Eventbrite.
