New date for Migdale tea party
THE TEA party to celebrate the role the old Migdale Hospital at Bonar Bridge has played in the local community will now be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday June 18.
It had to be postponed last Saturday due to lack of staff availability.
The Victorian building will cease to be used as a hospital when staff and patients move into the new hospital at Cherry Grove in Bonar Bridge on June 30, and the staff have arranged the tea party to say thank you and farewell to the old building.
The event will be held in the grounds of the old hospital, with a marquee available in case of bad weather. Refreshments will be available and a local ceilidh band and several pipers will provide music during the afternoon.
There will also be a bouncy castle for the children and a display of old photographs and other archive materials associated with the building.
Anyone with anything they consider suitable for the display should take the item or items along to the tea party. Alternatively, they can take them to the hospital or call 01863-766211 and speak to a member of staff at Migdale.
