Neurodiversity charity with Dingwall base becomes subsidiary of Scottish Autism
A NEURODIVERSITY support service with a Dingwall base has become a subsidiary of national charity, Scottish Autism.
Autism and Neurodiversity (A-ND) North of Scotland opened their first Highland centre in Dingwall earlier this year, to support neurodivergent children and families.
The charity provides support and services to families throughout Aberdeenshire, Moray and the Highlands. According to their website, A-ND’s mission is to create opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent people, to realise their full potential.
Following their extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on October 29, A-ND has now become a subsidiary of national charity, Scottish Autism.
A-ND North Scotland said: “Wonderful news to share. After a unanimous vote by our members at our EGM, A-ND is now officially a subsidiary of Scottish Autism, with Scottish Autism now being our sole member.
“This means we continue to deliver the same high-quality, neurodiverse-specific support and services you know and trust, and now together with Scottish Autism, grow our reach across the north of Scotland and beyond to help autistic and neurodivergent people and their families live fulfilled, happy lives.
“For families: it’s business as usual - no changes to your current support. If any future changes are proposed, we’ll work with you to shape them. We’ll also be in touch soon to invite you to family consultation evenings with our management and operations team.
“Thank you for your continued trust in A-ND and our teams. We’re excited for the journey ahead, together.”
