Two men who were found shot dead in a car parked on an industrial estate have been named.

The victims are William Henry, 31, and Brian McIntosh, 29, who are both from Bartley Green, Birmingham, West Midlands Police said.

A murder investigation was launched after they were discovered in a car park off Moor Street, Dudley, just before 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Mr Henry’s family described him as “the light of our lives” while Mr McIntosh’s relatives said they are “absolutely devastated and heartbroken” by his death as police made a second arrest in the case.

Detectives are questioning a man in his 30s, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and a newly arrested person on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Mr Henry’s family remembered him as a much-loved father, son, brother, uncle, partner and friend.

In a tribute, they said: “He was loving and caring and always thought of others before himself.

“He was the light of our lives, his death has left a huge void in our lives. We would like to express our thanks to the kind words and love shown from extended family and friends.

“We are a grieving family and now would like the press to allow us to grieve in private and with respect.”

Mr McIntosh was described as a much-loved son, a devoted partner and a doting father to his two sons. He was also a loving brother to his three sisters and three brothers.

The tribute from his family added: “He was loved dearly by his whole family – nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins.

“There will be a big whole left in all of our hearts. As a family we are all absolutely devastated and heartbroken.”

A post-mortem examination revealed both men died from gunshot wounds.

It is thought the victims were killed at the site in Brierley Hill, Dudley, shortly after 1pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were called to the scene at 3.30pm on Wednesday, sending an ambulance and paramedics.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro described their deaths as “very sad” as he passed on condolences to their “devastated” loved ones and appealed for help from the community.

He said: “I’m aware the wider community are also shocked and saddened by the events of Wednesday and we’re doing all we can to work out what happened.

“I continue to appeal to anyone with information about what happened, or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious, to get in touch.”
