Moving Remembrance Service at Lochinver

There was a larger than usual crowd in Lochinver for the 90th Royal British Legion day of Remembrance, with ages from local Legion Branch Chair Person, Mrs Nina McAulay of Drumbeg, who will be 90 later this week, and is in her own right a War Veteran, down to very young children.

Stuart McClelland (ex-RN) took the service, and Dr Stewart McIntosh (ex-RAF) laid the Wreath. Sandy Johnston (ex-RAF) piped the tune "Hector the Hero" and also Andrew Mackay (ex-RN) read Binyan’s poem, "They shall not grow old.."

Mr McClelland read a moving poem during the service which was written by Dr McIntosh and is a moving account of the lives outwith the military, which are also affected.
