Motorcylist seriously injured on A82 near Drumnadrochit

THE A82 remains closed approximately three miles south of Drumnadrochit following a serious road traffic collision.

Emergency services are in attendance at the crash which occurred around 11.15am and involved a motorcycle and a Citroen Picasso.

The male motorcyclist has been airlifted to Raigmore Hospital by the UK Coastguard helicopter. His injuries are believed to be life threatening.

The road will remain closed until further notice to allow an investigation to take place. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use suitable alternative routes. Police say drivers’ patience is appreciated.
