The bulletin posted today at 10.24am states: "Rain and showers are expected to move northwards overnight. There is a chance that rain may become slow moving and torrential in a few places, perhaps lasting for 2-3 hours producing 30 to 40mm of rain and a risk of some localised disruption."

The Met Office says that heavy rain may lead to some localised surface water flooding in a few places.

What to expect:

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
  • Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.
