After reports of thunderstorms around the Wick area last night the Met Office has issued another Yellow Warning for Caithness and Sutherland today and tomorrow.
The bulletin posted today at 10.24am states: "Rain and showers are expected to move northwards overnight. There is a chance that rain may become slow moving and torrential in a few places, perhaps lasting for 2-3 hours producing 30 to 40mm of rain and a risk of some localised disruption."
The Met Office says that heavy rain may lead to some localised surface water flooding in a few places.
What to expect:
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.
