Man dies after collapsing near Lochinver

Emergency services were called to a report of a man having collapsed near Loch Assynt yesterday afternoon, around 2.30pm.

Police in Lochinver and Coastguard helicopter Rescue 100 immediately attended at the scene.

The man was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital, but sadly attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

No further details will be released until next of kin have been informed.
