Man appears in court on alleged Helmsdale charges

A 47 year old man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday on several charges including two of possessing a bladed weapon.
Philip Rake of no fixed abode also made no plea to two charges of theft by shoplifting, attempting to pervert the course of justice and one of threatening behaviour, alleged to have taken place in Helmsdale.
He was committed for further examination and released on bail.
