Man set for Inverness court appearance after alleged ‘serious assault’ in Tain





A MAN will appear in court today following an alleged serious assault in an Easter Ross town.

Police said yesterday that a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance and alleged serious assault in Tain.

Around 7.45am on Saturday, November 2, officers were called to an address on Argyle Court.

A 25-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment and later released.

The man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, November 4.

Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “I’d like to thank the local community for their support and understanding while investigations were carried out.

“There is no wider threat to the public however anyone with concerns can speak to officers.”
