The children of Lochinver Primary School, who sang as Coisir Og Loch an Inbhir (Lochinver Junior Galeic Choir) at the 2000 Royal National Mod, are pictured with their head teacher and conductor Kenny Mackenzie outside the Queen’s Hall in Dunoon, with the town’s landmark Victorian pier in the background. The choir came second in the rural primaries’ competition and were fourth in the under-13 unison singing competition. It was the first time any of the children had sung at a National Mod.
