You only have a week to go to vote for your Highland Heroes 2022!

Over the last few months you have supported the campaign by nominating deserving individuals and organisations in your community who have gone above and beyond to help others – their family and friends, or even complete strangers.

You can read all the individual stories about each shortlisted candidate in our special supplement at www.northern-times.co.uk/supplements before casting your all-important votes.

There are 13 main award categories:

  • Brave child
  • Volunteer
  • Charitable organisation
  • Fundraiser
  • Carer
  • Primary pupil
  • Primary teacher
  • Secondary pupil
  • Secondary teacher
  • Community champion
  • School of the year
  • Emergency services or armed forces hero
  • Healthcare hero

All the shortlistees are invited to a fabulous awards night at the Kingsmills Hotel on Thursday, March 24.

The night will kick off in style as your nominees make their way down the red carpet, receive a traditional welcome from Pipe Major Scotty Taylor, and enjoy a special VIP reception.

There will be fine dining, and also an evening of musical entertainment from Scottish singer Shereen Cutkelvin.

On the night, all the category winners will be revealed along with the very special hero of heroes award. The hero of heroes is chosen by our judges from all of your winners.
