Part of the main road between Rosehall and Lairg will be shut for three days next week.

The closure is to allow bridge strengthening works to take place on the Minster's Bridge on the single-track section of the A839.

The works are part of the Scottish Timber Transport Project structural road improvements which are currently under way in Sutherland.

The closure will allow for a safe working environment to carry out additional strengthening works to the Altass Bridge, also known as Minister’s Bridge, according to Highland Council.

The temporary closure starts first thing on Monday, September 28, and local diversions will be in place. Local access will be maintained.
