Knit and Natter evenings to restart at Ardgay
The Knit, Natter and More evenings will restart in Ardgay Hall on Wednesday, January 15, thanks to a generous grant from the Beinn Tharsuinn Community Benefit Fund, awarded by Ardgay & District Community Council.
These gatherings, which run from 7pm to 9pm in the committee room on Wednesday evenings, are hosted by Highland Wool CIC to provide a place for crafters to meet for a sociable evening of chat, while sharing crafting skills.
The group has already demonstrated the diversity of skills in the local area, with hand sewing, wool spinning and needle felting joining the regular knitting and crochet activities.
As well as sponsoring the meeting space, the grant will also allow the organisers to gather and store a selection of equipment, such as needles, crochet hooks, patterns and yarn.
This will mean that anyone interested can come along and try their hand at a new skill, without committing to the purchase of materials. There is no fee for attending and refreshments are provided by Highland Wool.
Anyone who would like to have a go at a new craft, wants to improve their skills, or just fancies a good old natter while completing their current project, will be welcome.
