HE is sure to give even the most hardened of criminals paws for thought.

Kaiser the German Shepherd and handler PC Tracy Murray will soon be sniffing out offenders throughout the Highlands and Islands.

The duo have become the latest to join the dog section based in Inverness, which helps keep communities across the region safe.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “PC Murray and PD Kaiser have now completed their initial training course in Inverness and are looking forward to helping to assist local policing teams.

“Keep an eye out for them in your community!”

There are currently six handlers and dogs based in Inverness.
