They will be discussing various measures that could be taken including developing “coastal gardens”.

Development group Go Golspie is working alongside various organisations, including the North Highland and Islands Climate Action and the Edinburgh Schools of Architecture and Landscaping Architecture to come up with flood protection schemes.

Anyone interested in joining today’s event can choose between attending either a morning or afternoon session.

The morning session starts with an introduction at Fountain Road Hall from 10am-10.30am followed by a coastal walk, starting and finishing at the hall and going through Golspie waterfront.

From 11.30am-12.30pm there will be a discussion at the hall.

The afternoon session begins at 3pm and follows the same pattern.
