Creich Locality Group is in the process of developing the Kyle of Sutherland Community Resilience Plan for Creich, and Ardgay and district communities.

A spokesman said: “This is a holistic plan that informs all the residents of the area what services are available to assist them during emergency situations such as power cuts, floods and road closures.”

The group has met twice to discuss the plan and would now like to ask the wider community what assets are available in the event of an emergency.

Information is sought about who are the first responders and tradespeople in the various areas; who would willing to coordinate help or operate heavy vehicles; and what buildings suitable to serve as rest centres.

The group would also like to identify people able to provide hot meals or food parcels during a power outage.
