Members of the Caithness and Sutherland Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) learned from Tony Tracey of Partnership Solutions, Brora, how to use websites effectively to grow businesses, at a recent lunchtime meeting.

This was held in Brora Golf Club when members also heard from John Whitfield of Culgower Microgen, speaking on how to save money by making homes and businesses more energy efficient.

The FSB’s new Highlands and Islands Development Manager, David Richardson, also explained his role and what he could do to assist the small business community.

Joan Campbell, the FSB’s Caithness and Sutherland chairman, said, “It is all too easy for small businesses to feel isolated and alone in the Far North and events like this are really important in bringing people together to exchange news and views and to learn things that will help their businesses. With several thousand members in the Highlands and Islands the FSB is ideally placed to provide these opportunities and I am delighted that everyone had such an enjoyable day.”
