Hit-and-run on A9 sparks appeal by Police Scotland officers in the Highlands after 4x4 knocks Audi off the road in Easter Ross

Police are investigating a hit-and-run after a 4x4 knocked an Audi off the road in Easter Ross.

Officers in Alness have appealed for witnesses and information following the incident near the Nigg roundabout at around 2am this morning (Monday).

“A dark coloured 4x4 collided with a gold Audi causing it to leave the road,” said a police spokesperson. “The 4x4 failed to stop at the scene.

“If anyone has any information relevant to this incident, please get in touch with Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting ‘incident 0339 of June 24.”

Officers said there were no reports of any injuries from the collision and that enquiries were “ongoing to establish the full circumstances”.
