Gavin and Stacey actors Ruth Jones and Rob Brydon to reunite for new comedy set in Scottish Highlands

Called Gaynor and Ray the show will see them play newlyweds embarking on a honeymoon in northern Scotland.

Gavin and Stacey fans are celebrating at the news that Ruth Jones, who played Nessa Jenkins in the hit series, and Rob Brydon, who played Uncle Bryn, are to reunite for a new comedy which is set in the Highlands.

The Scotsman has reported that the one-off BBC special was announced during the Edinburgh TV Festival yesterday.

The actors play a couple who decide to marry despite knowing each other for just six months.
