SGL Carbon in Muir of Ord on hunt to fill 14 new posts in response to rising demand for products
A ROSS-SHIRE employer which has witnessed a spike in demand for its services is on the lookout for 14 people to fill new roles.
SGL Carbon is undergoing a further recruitment drive at its Muir of Ord site "after successfully growing its team throughout 2021 to meet an increase in demand for its product from new and existing customers".
In March this year SGL in Muir of Ord added 12 new members to the team, followed by an additional 16 employees. Now, to continue to keep up with demand, SGL is seeking to fill 14 roles to add to its current team of 228, including positions in operations, customer services and maintenance.
SGL Carbon has 29 production sites worldwide. Muir Of Ord produces a range of fibre based products with carbon fibre at its core. This sustainable increase in sales, dominated by the renewable energy sector, has resulted in sustained growth throughout 2021 allowing the team to expand, the firm says.
