Give Blood, Save Lives: Join our campaign to boost donations in Highland and Moray
Launched last week our Give Blood, Save Lives campaign aims to secure 5000 donations of blood for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) in the Highlands and Moray.
That is 5000 donations that can help people of all ages, whether caught up in an emergency situation or suffering an illness or chronic condition where blood can help.
You can donate as an individual or, if you can persuade family members, friends or work colleagues to join you, go as a group.
Donor’s eyes on the prize - but giving back to NHS is the main goal
Giving is a ‘good thing to do’
A family forever thankful to donors
‘I have to do what I can to give back’
If you have never donated before the transfusion service’s website - www.scotblood.co.uk - contains a wealth of information about what is involved and how your donation will help.
You can also complete a quick and easy tickbox questionnaire to determine if your able to donate - and then get yourself signed up to a donation session that is most convenient for yourself.
We at Highland News and Media are already organising our own group donation. Please join us and help make a real difference.
And if you are a donor - or someone who has benefited from donated blood in the past - please share your story with us by emailing newsdesk@hnmedia.co.uk
Your story might be the one that persuades someone else that the time is right to get involved.
