German tourist appears in court after Rogart crash

A GERMAN tourist has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving on the A839 near Rogart yesterday, Sunday, May 26.
Reimund Lorenz, aged 68, from St Wendel made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
He is accused of driving his motor van on the wrong carriageway for a distance and colliding head-on with a car, driven by a woman and occupied by her passenger, both of whom were seriously injured.
