Flight plans hit at Inverness Airport after ‘technical issues’

Flights in and out of Inverness Airport are being cancelled or delayed this morning.

It is understood that it is due to ‘technical issues’ in the air traffic control tower.

A flight due to arrive from Stornoway at 9am today has been cancelled, while arrivals expected this morning/early afternoon from Bristol, Luton, Amsterdam and Sumburgh have all been delayed.

Flights due to leave Inverness to go to Stornoway and Sumburgh this morning have been cancelled, departures to Amsterdam, Heathrow, Gatwick and Bristol have been delayed.

Passengers have been seeking information on social media.

Highlands and Islands Airports, which operates Inverness Airport, has been asked to comment.
