First journey of NW Community Bus

The North West Community Bus Association's new scheduled service between Kinlochbervie and Ullapool has just started.

The first trip was well-subscribed with fourteen passengers in addition to the two drivers, Stuart McHugh and Graham Wild.

The new service runs every first and third Thursday of the month, leaving from Taigh Ceilidh in Kinlochbervie at 9am and returning from Ullapool (Tesco's Carpark) at 2pm.

To avoid disappointment passengers are advised to book at least 48 hours in advance by contacting the transport co-ordinator, Morag Chapman, on 01971-521054.

The Association has recently been granted a Section 22 permit which allows them to offer the minibus to a much wider selection of groups, companies and individuals than before, and has a new website which can be found at http://www.nwcba.co.uk
