A 27 year old Sutherland offshore worker left an offensive and threatening voicemail on his ex-partner's phone due to a row over a family matter.
Samuel Cowie of Carnegie Court, Bonar Bridge, appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday (Tuesday) and admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards his former partner, who lives in Alness.
The offence took place about lunch-time on May 30.
Fiscal depute Robert Weir said the relationship had been ongoing for several years. But had ended in 2018 although there still was contact between them.
Cowie was fined £300 by Sheriff Sara Matheson.
