Feedback sought on Borgie Breco cabin community asset transfer
The North Sutherland Community Forest Trust (NSCFT) is seeking feedback on its plan to take over a second cabin at Borgie Breco Forest.
The forest, accessible from the A836 between Bettyhill and Tongue, is owned by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), which manages it along with support from the trust.
There are two log cabins in the wood, one owned by FLS and the other by the NSCFT. However, NSCFT has submitted a community asset transfer application to FLS to take ownership of the FLS cabin and the land surrounding the two cabins.
The trust is asking people to complete a questionnaire relating to the asset transfer by the end of today, Friday, January 24.
A trust spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear your views on bringing this wonderful asset into community ownership.”
