Farr Eats launches new series of free community meals at Strathnaver Hall tomorrow





Free community meals will be served in four north coast village halls during February, March and April.

The meal service, Farr Eats, will be visiting Strathnaver, Armadale, Strath Halladale and Strathy halls.

Home cooked meals will be served along with tea, coffee and cake, all free of charge, although donations would be welcome.

There will also be opportunities to play games such as dominoes, snakes and ladders, draughts, and chess.

Farr Eats is run by the Farr North Community Development Trust (FNCDT) in partnership with The Store in Bettyhill.

The trust receives funding from the Strathy North Community Benefit Fund to run the service.

Farr Eats will be at Strathnaver Hall tomorrow, Wednesday February 5; Armadale Hall on February 12; Strath Halladale Hall on February 19; and Strathy Hall on February 26.

In March the service will visit the same halls on the same dates. Community meals will be served at Strathnaver on April 2; Armadale on April 9; Strath Halladale on April 16; and Strathy on April 23.

The halls will open from 10am-3pm serving tea and coffee and meals will be served at 12.30pm.

The meals are open to everyone in the community council areas from Melvich to Altnaharra.
