‘Fantastic’ New Year’s concert at Dornoch Cathedral





There was music to suit all tastes at a New Year concert held in Dornoch Cathedral on Thursday, January 2.

Young piper Georgie MacLennan was the first and last performer, ending the evening with a march up the west aisle playing Auld Lang Syne.

There were also performances from harpist and singer Jennifer Port, Golspie, and music group The Machine as well as Dornoch Firth Junior Band among others.

Cathedral official Willie Mackay said: ”It was a fantastic evening.”
