Fallen tree partially blocks A9 near Helmsdale

Traffic Scotland is reporting that the trunk road in the far north is partially blocked in both directions at Langwell, near Berriedale.

It is understood that high winds have toppled a tree which has fallen across the route.

Motorists are being advised to leave plenty of time if travelling that way.

Traffic Scotland tweeted the alert at 1.25pm.
