The operators of Grannie's Heilan' Hame holiday park in Embo have closed down public buildings on the site after a number of staff were required to self-isolate.

A letter by Parkdean Resorts was posted online by a user of the Tain Community Facebook page.

It states: "We have taken the difficult decision to close our complex building today (Saturday, June 12) as a number of our team members have been required to self-isolate.

"Unfortunately this means there will be no restaurant, bar or entertainment facilities on offer this weekend.

"This isn't a decision we've taken lightly, and we're really sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this will cause.

"However your safety, and the safety of our staff, is of the utmost importance, and we hope you understand why we have taken this approach.

"We will be reviewing the situation on Monday and will keep you updated.

"Thanks for your understanding."

Facebook users left posts saying they were not "surprised". However, one user praised Parkdean for being "sensible".

She stated: "As long as members of the public are not being careful, this kind of thing will keep happening."
