The Liberal Democrat candidate for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross has been announced as one of the panellists for this evening’s Debate Night.

The appearance on BBC Scotland’s flagship political discussion show hosted by Stephen Jardine will be her first on a major network.

She will be joined by Mairi MacAllan from the SNP, Meghan Gallacher from the Conservatives, Daniel Johnson from Labour and Mark Ruskell from the Greens.

The audience will put their questions to the panel for what is an “Under 30s special,” with Ms Nolan saying: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to discuss the issues facing Caithness, Sutherland and Ross this evening.

“It is vital that politicians take every opportunity to listen to members of the public, particularly younger voices and those in rural areas, neither of whom feel they have been properly heard in recent years.

“I hope that I can show them tonight that my first duty is to them. I’m looking forward to making the case, not just for more Scottish Liberal Democrats in parliament, but for more youth representation at the top table as well.”

The show goes out at 10.30pm on the BBC Scotland channel and on BBC Radio Scotland.
