Competitive skiff rowing returns to Sutherland on Saturday, with seven clubs travelling to the village to compete for the Campbell Port Trophy.
Among the clubs making the trip are 2019 winners, Cromarty Rowing Club, along with Bunillidh, Strathpeffer, Ullapool, Nairn, Avoch and Burghead.
The Scottish Coastal Rowing Association, acting on public health advice, have set Covid guidelines for events and social distancing will be required at the coxes’ briefing, between clubs and in the catering stall.
Races will be conducted over a course running south from the pier and clubs will each race in their own lanes, turning around a buoy and racing back to the finishing line opposite the Seafront Centre.
The day starts with a 50+ women’s race at 10am, and includes races in junior, open, 50+ and 60+ categories. A lunch break from 1pm-2pm allows for a rest at low tide before racing resumes in the afternoon.
Spectators are welcome to watch, browse the stalls and enjoy the catering as well as cheering on their club of choice.
Golspie resident Rachel Paterson will be manning a home baking stall to raise money for the Joy Art Project in Nairobi, Kenya, which is supported by Golspie Free Church.
Ms Paterson, the daughter of Free Church minister Eric Paterson, said: "As a church we support a project which runs art for street kids and it's been difficult for them because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We're hoping to raise some money for art supplies."
Her stall will be selling home baking made by herself and church members.
She said: "It will include items like cupcakes and muffins, shortbread, tablets and meringues. We'll als have some fruit salad too, in case anyone is looking for a healthier option. A small amount of dietery baking will also be available."
Photos of artwork created by children involved in the Joy Art Project will be on display.
