Tain Royal Academy Parent Council pays tribute to pupils and staff for meeting challenge of coronavirus crisis

AN Easter Ross parent council has paid tribute to pupils, teachers and support staff for rising to the challenges of a second lockdown.

Tain Royal Academy Parent Council made its remarks at the end of the school term last week.

Secondary pupils have only within the last few weeks begun a phased return to classrooms after the second coronavirus lockdown was imposed on Boxing Day last year.

They are due to return – all being well – after the Easter break which has just started.

The TRA parent council took to its social media page to wish pupils, their families and teachers and support staff a happy Easter.

It said: "The last term has been challenging with everyone being in lockdown and the school having to implement a variety of different teaching methods to comply with government guidelines.

"Hoping we are now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and returning to some form of normality after the Easter break."
