Staff at the Storehouse Restaurant have gone above and beyond for Ukraine, raising £2312.50 by selling Chicken Kyivs.

Owner, Quintin Stevens, wanted to help out after hearing about the war in Ukraine, and chef Rory Patience came up with the idea of making the delicious item.

Local businesses Williamson Foodservice, Cockburn’s in Dingwall and Bid Food Inverness donated the items needed and the uptake was huge with 100 per cent of the profits being donated to the DEC Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal where it will help those in need.

Mr Stevens was delighted with the amount raised and that the company could help.

“Our chefs and ourselves were talking and we wanted to do something to help the Ukrainians,” he said. “The storehouse has always been a great supporter of many charities.

“Last year it was Maggie’s Highland, and we wanted to do something this year and show support and some help and we thought that’s what we could do.

“Without the support of Williamson, Cockburn’s and Bid Food we would have struggled.”
