Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier bring Highland Halls tour to Rosehall on Friday





Two celebrated Scottish musicians will bring their Highland Halls tour to a rural Sutherland venue tonight, Friday, May 23.

Fiddle player and composer Duncan Chisholm and pianist and singer Hamish Napier will perform at Rosehall Hall from 7.30pm-10pm tonight.

The gig is the second in their 10-date tour, which began at Strathnaver Hall on Thursday and will end at Boat of Garten Community Hall on June 8.

The performances are being billed as an “evening of top-tier traditional music”.

Born and raised near Inverness, Chisholm has spent most of his life developing his distinctive musical style. He has released seven solo albums.

His music contains a combination of invention, tenderness and passion.

Napier is a native of Grantown on Spey who draws inspiration from his homeland for his music and has released a series of solo albums. In his music, he strives for a balance between tradition and innovation , incorporating jazz, electronic and classical techniques.

Tickets, priced £18, are available from Invercassley Tearooms, Rosehall, and Hair at the Barn, Ardgay. Online ticket reservations can be made by email: chriszrosehall27@gmail.com. Doors open at 7pm and ther will be a licensed bar and raffle.
