Yvonne Macrae of Tartan Creations donates more than £2k to Highland Hospice following success of her sunflower face coverings
A BIG-HEARTED North designer whose sunflower masks have proved a huge hit with the public has been thanked for her "amazing" support of Highland Hospice – and revealed plans for an exciting fresh start coinciding with her 21st year in business.
Yvonne Macrae of Tartan Creations has raised £2619 for the the hospice with her non-medical cotton face coverings which have been snapped up almost as quickly as she could make them.
Despite being hit by the lockdown herself, Ms Macrae channelled her creative talents using the sunflower fabric donated by a well-wisher.
Highland Hospice said: "We would like to thank Yvonne so much for her support. Her sunflower masks are amazing."
The crisis has opened a new door for Ms Macrae who says business is again "flourishing" with orders from around the world.
She is set to relocate to a lovely shop in Dornoch next month.
She said: "It’s very exciting and we are very much looking forward to the next chapter of our business as well as our 21st birthday on November 1. It’s great to have the positivity in these very different times."

Christine Finlayson wrote: "Well done Yvonne. Many people comment on my mask and ask where I got it. Think we will be needing them for a long time to come."
