Police appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage as man arrested following Highland collision

Police are appealing for information following a crash on the A9 near Aviemore.

The crash, involving a car and a lorry, happened around 4.30pm on Monday January 9.

Emergency services attended and the driver of the car was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing, police said this evening.

The road was closed for around four hours yesterday and re-opened around 8.30pm.

Sergeant Craig McGhee said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of what happened are under way.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible, you may have captured something that could assist our investigation.”
