Creich Community Council in east Sutherland are one of five community councils to have been formed uncontested following the latest round of interim elections

Highland Council confirmed the outcome today for eight Highland communities.

Creich Community Council, which represents the areas of Bonar Bridge, Invershin, Rosehall and Spinningdale, is joined by community councils for Cradlehall and Westhill, Glencoe and Glen Etive, Strathdearn and Tarbat in being formed uncontested.

The following candidates – Kay Smart, Tracey Smith and Keith Williams – were validly nominated for Creich CC and at noon on March 2, 2023 shall be declared to be elected as councillors.

Following the close of nominations and the withdrawal period, Highland Council also confirmed that two community councils failed to attract half the maximum membership and therefore have not been established. They are Kinlochleven Community Council and Conon Bridge Community Council.

This was the second attempt to attract membership to Conon Bridge Community Council.
