Highland Council earmarked £84,156 for Sutherland, with county committee members agreeing to split it evenly between the three communities, all of which have a population of more than 1000.

Brora and District Action Group (BaDAG) have been awarded £18,000 to provide motorhome parking spaces within an existing lorry park, including electric hook-ups. This work will complement the chemical waste facility project already under way

The group was also awarded £10,000 for new signs at both entrances to Brora.

Go Golspie has been granted £20,000 towards a package of works to bring the former YMCA building back into use. The facelift includes roof repairs to the rear of the property, toilet refurbishment and electrical works.

The development group was also awarded £8052 for tourism signs on the A9 throughout Golspie to highlight attractions including scenic walks and historic buildings.
