Silver Dacia Duster car stolen from outside home in Durness is recovered

The car had been taken from outside a property some time on Sunday.

In a Facebook appeal police had said the silver-coloured Dacia Duster was taken from outside the registered keeper's home in Durness on Sunday, October 17.

Sergeant James Maciver also said it was one of "a small number of similar incidents" to have taken place in the area recently.

He also warned drivers to ensure theuir vehicles and properties are left secure "as these incidents have been opportunistic in their nature with the vehicle appearing to be taken by their true keys."

No further details were given on where the car taken from Druness had been found, in what condition and/ or whether anyone is to be charged over the incident.
