Inverness Museum has issued a plea for help in fixing its penny press machine.

A plea has been issued by Inverness Museum for help in repairing its popular penny press machine.

The machine enables visitors to press a penny coin into a special souvenir coin.

But ageing equipment is now in need of some attention.

In a post on social media, the museum and art gallery asked: “Is there anybody out there that can help us?”

It explains the machine, which is quite old now, is not working properly.

“The cogs don't stop turning after the penny has been pressed,” it states.

“Other than this, it's working fine, and is really popular with the visitors.

“Is there anyone out there willing to donate their time and have a look for us, to see if it can be fixed?

“We'd be ever so grateful!”

Anyone who can help should call 01349 781730.
