The ferry cancellations come amidst an extended Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice, covering the Highlands and Western Isles. The warning has been extended until 12pm on Wednesday (January 8).
The warning states that the affected area will see “further rain, sleet and snow showers leading to some travel disruption”.
Areas above 200 metres could see another 10cm of snow.
Snow showers will be widespread “for the rest of Tuesday”, the update added, before becoming confined to the north and north east on Wednesday.
